This page is kept as a record of the temporary winter shelter we ran in 2025/26. Our new year-round shelter is The Eddy, opening on 3rd Avenue.
We operated a temporary shelter in Smithers from November 2025 to March 2026 as part of the Temporary Winter Shelter Program from BC Housing. This program ended on March 31st, 2026.

Three meals served daily: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vegetarian option included with every meal

A safe, judgment-free zone for care and supplies.

For community members who are not accessing the shelter, we provide support where it’s needed most.
- Hot meals, survival supplies, and harm reduction kits
- Informal wellness check-ins and emotional support
- Help navigating health care, detox, income assistance, and housing
- Transportation assistance and crisis response

🧡 Peer Employment & Training
We offer meaningful, paid work and free training for people with lived and living experience.
- Roles in outreach, hospitality, food prep, cleaning, and peer support
- Daily shift draw system for on-the-spot, low-barrier work
- Trainings in Naloxone, Food Safe, peer support, conflict de-escalation & more
